THE HEREMANS -CEUSTERS

At the end of the last century the tandem of Leo Heremans and Charel Ceusters ruled the speed (Short Distance) and middle distance racing in Belgium. In the Antwerp Union, the “University of Pigeon Racing”, the Heremans-Ceusters pigeons ruled with an iron fist and were unbeatable due to their ability to orient quickly and their pure speed. On advice from Willem de Bruijn, Hans and Evert Jan Eijerkamp, over a two-year period, purchased 80 youngsters from the Heremans-Ceusters tandem. They were more than impressed with them and on hearing that the partners were planning a total sale in 2007, they set their sights on this historical event. They acquired pigeons such as the “Euro” (€28,000) and the super breeding pair of “Rossi” x “Spinekke” (€43,000), “Moeder Euro”, “Charlene”, “Peter”,” Goochelaar” and “Jackpot”. During Leo Heremans total sale in 2013 the “Nieuwe Olympiade” was added to the breeding loft in Brummen for the grand sum of €210,000. Oscar and Linda have acquired direct sons & daughters off all the best Leo Heremans pigeons at Hans & Evert Jan Eijerkamp. Oscar and Linda have one of the best satellite breeding lofts of Eijerkamp pigeons in the world according to Hans Eijerkamp himself.
